Story Line
Following the events and grief of their son Neteyam’s death in Avatar: The Way of Water, Jake Sully and Neytiri face new threats. The conflict escalates as they encounter the Ash People, or Mangkwan clan, a fierce, volcano-dwelling Na’vi tribe led by the ruthless Varang.
This new tribe, which aligns with human forces under Colonel Quaritch, challenges the Sully family and introduces the first instance of Na’vi-versus-Na’vi conflict in the series. The film explores darker themes and challenges the franchise’s moral core, as the Ash People have abandoned their faith in Eywa after a catastrophic volcanic eruption and are hardened by their loss.
